YB27 Series · Model Selection Tool

Industrial 2D LiDAR Sensor Selector

Select the right YB27 2D LiDAR in two steps: first choose the required output function, then select the required working range.

Selection Principle

Output function first. Working range second. Choose whether the system needs switching signals, raw scan data, or both. Then use the required working range to narrow the YB27 model selection.

Step 1 · Choose Output Function

What Output Does Your System Need?

YB27 models can be grouped by the type of information the LiDAR needs to provide to the machine or host system.

Switching Output

PNP / NPN Switching Signals

Choose this option when the system needs discrete switching signals for detection, triggering or machine integration.

Output: configurable PNP / NPN switching signals.
Raw Data

Scan Data for Host-Side Processing

Choose this option when the host system needs raw LiDAR scan data for navigation, localization, interactive systems or other software-based processing.

Interface: model-dependent raw-data communication, including Ethernet UDP or RS232.
Switching Output + Raw Data

Combined Detection and Scan Data

Choose this option when the system needs both configurable switching outputs and raw LiDAR data from the same sensor.

D models: configurable PNP / NPN switching output + raw scan data via Ethernet UDP.
Range convention: every working-range value in this selector should be read together with its stated target reflectivity condition. For example, 15 m @ 70% reflectivity and 40 m @ 70% reflectivity are not interchangeable with unqualified distance claims.
02 · Quick Selector

Industrial 2D LiDAR Sensor Selector for YB27 Models

Choose the required output function first, then select the required detection range at 70% target reflectivity.

1. What output function do you need?
2. What detection range is required?
Every range value below is specified at 70% target reflectivity.
Selection note: where more than one model matches the same output function and detection range @ 70% reflectivity, compare the communication interface and model-specific performance in the table below.
03 · Model Comparison

Compare YB27 Models

Use the output function and detection range selected above to narrow the model list, then compare the product version and communication interface.

Product Version C = Standard version · H = High-performance version
Output Code S = Switching · E = Ethernet · D = Dual · R = RS232

Selection rule: first match the required output function, then match the required detection range at the stated reflectivity condition. Where both C and H versions are available at the same range, compare the detailed performance parameters in the current model datasheet before final selection.

04 · Selection Notes

Three Checks Before Final Model Selection

The selector narrows the YB27 family quickly, but the final model should still be checked against the actual system requirement.

01 · Output Function

Choose the Function First

Decide whether the system needs switching output, raw scan data, or both. D models combine configurable PNP / NPN switching output with Ethernet UDP raw data.

02 · Range

Always Check Reflectivity

Do not compare LiDAR working distance as a standalone number. A range value must always be read together with its target reflectivity condition.

03 · Final Check

Confirm the Exact Model

Before ordering, confirm the model-specific output, communication interface, working range and configuration requirements against the current datasheet.

Series-level reference: YB-series models support up to a 270° scan angle with configurable active angle, and power consumption is below 2 W across the series. Working range and communication interface remain model-dependent.
05 · FAQ & Next Steps

YB27 Model Selection FAQ

Confirm the output architecture, interface and detection-range condition before making the final model selection.

What is the difference between switching output and raw data?
Switching-output models provide configurable PNP / NPN signals for detection, triggering or machine control. Raw-data models provide LiDAR scan data for processing by a host controller, industrial computer or software system. The raw-data interface can be Ethernet UDP or RS232, depending on the model.
Which YB27 models provide both switching output and raw data?
YB27 D models combine configurable PNP / NPN switching outputs with raw LiDAR scan data. Current D models provide the raw-data connection through Ethernet UDP.
Why must a detection-range value include reflectivity?
LiDAR detection distance depends on the optical characteristics of the target. For this reason, specifications such as 15 m @ 70% reflectivity or 40 m @ 70% reflectivity should always be read together with the stated reflectivity condition.
Do all YB27 models have the same scan angle and power consumption?
YB-series models support a maximum scan angle of 270°, with a smaller active scan angle configurable according to the application. Power consumption is below 2 W across the YB series. Detection range, output architecture and communication interface remain model-dependent.
