Product Safety Classification and OEM Certificate Status Are Different Questions

YB 2D LiDAR is an industrial sensing platform and is not a safety laser scanner. For applications requiring safety-rated protective scanning, the SH27 platform should be evaluated according to the required safety function and machine risk assessment. Approved OEM branding or labeling does not by itself change the underlying technical design of an unchanged product, but it also does not automatically transfer the original CCH certificate to the OEM-branded product.

How Certification Works for OEM & Private-Label Safety Sensors

Certification needs special attention in an OEM safety-sensor project. Where a specific CCH product model already holds applicable certification, that certification relates to the product identity and scope accepted under the corresponding certification scheme. An OEM-branded version should not automatically be represented as certified under the customer’s identity simply because the underlying design and functions remain unchanged.

Product naming, labeling and the applicable certification route may need to be coordinated with the relevant certification body or scheme. The original CCH certification documentation should not simply be reused to imply certification under a different OEM identity.
