Product Safety Classification and OEM Certificate Status Are Different Questions
YB 2D LiDAR is an industrial sensing platform and is not a safety laser scanner. For applications requiring safety-rated protective scanning, the SH27 platform should be evaluated according to the required safety function and machine risk assessment. Approved OEM branding or labeling does not by itself change the underlying technical design of an unchanged product, but it also does not automatically transfer the original CCH certificate to the OEM-branded product.
What Can Be Customized for an OEM Sensor Project?
Many OEM requirements can be handled by adapting an existing product platform rather than redesigning the sensor from the ground up. CCH supports confirmed customization in branding, product labeling, cable length, connectors, housing color, packaging and customer documentation. How Certification Works for OEM & Private-Label Safety Sensors
Certification needs special attention in an OEM safety-sensor project. Where a specific CCH product model already holds applicable certification, that certification relates to the product identity and scope accepted under the corresponding certification scheme. An OEM-branded version should not automatically be represented as certified under the customer’s identity simply because the underlying design and functions remain unchanged.
Certified CCH Base Product
Where an applicable CCH model has certification, its certification status is associated with the scope documented by the relevant certification body or conformity-assessment scheme.
OEM / Private-Label Product
An OEM version may be manufactured by the same producer and may retain the same approved underlying design, sensing function and technical performance while carrying the customer’s own brand, model designation or product identity.
OEM / Additional Certification Route
If the customer needs certification or conformity documentation under its own brand or approved OEM product identity, the applicable certification body or scheme should be reviewed before those claims are made.
“Based on a Certified CCH Product” Is Not the Same as “The OEM Product Is Certified”
An OEM product may use the same underlying product design, manufacturing source and technical functions as a certified CCH model while still requiring separate certification handling for the OEM brand, model designation or product identity. The OEM-branded product should therefore only carry certification or conformity claims that are supported by the documentation applicable to that OEM identity.

Documentation can be adapted to the agreed OEM project, while certification and conformity claims remain tied to the actual product status and documentation applicable to that configuration.
