When a finger, hand, or body crosses the presence of this light curtain, they register a safe shutdown command to the machine controller within milliseconds. It does not slow line changeover like a physical guard door; it does not need the floor to be dry and tack-free like a safety mat; and it tolerates the vibration of a well running conveyor like sticky and adhesive residue.
